Tariffs and Final Steps of Manufacturing

DC DBG fans,
We hope everyone is doing great! Before we update about progress on your rewards, we wanted to address what’s been on everyone’s minds: tariffs. As most of you know, game companies like ours do the majority of our manufacturing in China due to cost, capabilities of facilities, and skill of labor. We have long-standing relationships with factories and work closely with members of their teams to make sure our products look and feel as good as our fans deserve.
The tariffs are clearly not good news for us or the entire tabletop gaming industry. Paying over 200% tariffs means if a game costs (hypothetically) $100,000 to manufacture in China, We’re paying more than $200,000 ADDITIONAL to import. It’s a shock and not sustainable.
A lot is up in the air. We wish we could tell you how everything is going to shake out, but what we CAN tell you: We have no plans to charge anyone in this Kickstarter anything additional. We want to deliver what you pledged for at the prices in the campaign. We appreciate everyone’s support as we figure everything out.
Manufacturing Almost Done!
Some great news: Manufacturing is just about at the finish line! All the games and expansions are done. The Travel Box is nearing completion and the plastic tokens are the final item being worked on. We expect everything to be ready to be loaded onto container ships by the end of April. We’re still on track for July fulfillment!

Final Production Samples! Manufacturing Almost Finished!

DC DBG fans,
We hope everyone is having a great start to their spring! We’re here today with some great news: The manufacturing process for DC Deck-Building Game: Arkham Asylum is almost complete! We have approved final production samples of all the products except the tokens (which are still coming).We are definitely still on track for July fulfillment.
We thought we’d share some photos of a final copy of the Kickstarter Exclusive version of DC Deck-Building Game: Arkham Asylum! Everything looks spectacular. That box is beautiful to look at in person (the foil really pops).
We’ll update with some more photos soon and we’ll let you know as soon as games are loaded onto ships and headed to fulfillment centers.
Also... we are working on something super top secret for later this year (not related to a Kickstarter). Stay tuned for more on that too!

We hope everyone is doing great! We have now received pre-production samples from the factory for everything in the Kickstarter except the custom tokens, and things are looking GREAT. First Factory Samples: Hush, 2DZ, and More! Plus Adventure Time Card Wars 2025 on Kickstarter!

DC DBG fans,
It’s a new year and we are excited to be getting closer to new DC Deck-Building Game products making it out into the world. We went to print before the holidays and now we are starting to get samples from the factory! These are digitally printed samples, which give us a good sense of what the final product will look like and provide us a chance to catch any major issues in the games, including missing cards, file setup issues, and other errors either on our end or the factory’s side.
Happily the initial samples all looked pretty amazing. We checked out both Crossover Packs in this campaign: Dark Knights Rising and Batman: Hush, which are shaping up to be two of the best expansions yet.
We also got to check out the 2DZ acrylic standees, the reprint of Dark Nights: Metal (this time with the new DC logo), and DC Deck-Building Game: Teen Titans (a new version of the classic game). In particular, we want to note how AWESOME the 2DZ looked and felt in person; they look crisp and feel super sturdy.

Arkham Asylum: Off to Print! Plus DC Heroes RPG… 48 Hours to Go on Kickstarter!

DC DBG fans,
We did it! everything in the DC Deck-Building Game: Arkham Asylum Kickstarter is finished and off to the factory. In fact, we have already started reviewing eproofs of the over 20 (!) different items/products being printed as part of this campaign. It was quite an undertaking, so big kudos to our team, which includes our game designers, graphic designers, project manager, editor, playtesters, and YOU. We couldn’t have gotten to this point without all of your support, so thank you! We will have physical samples to share in the new year.
We also have lots of DC DBG plans in 2025, including more support for organized play. We are looking forward to this community continuing to grow. We can’t wait!
DC Heroes Role-Playing Game on Kickstarter: Final 48 Hours
Many DC DBG fans have joined our celebration of the 40th anniversary of DC Heroes Role-Playing Game on Kickstarter (link here). As we enter the final hours, ALL stretch goals have been unlocked, meaning you can get both boxes and all 63 books, plus all sorts of cool extras like slipcases, oversized dice, dice tray, and more. The dozens of sourcebooks and modules feature contributions from some of DC’s finest writers and artists of the 1980s—Jack Kirby, Alan Moore, Denny O’Neil, George Perez, John Byrne, and many others.
Today we revealed the final set of dice, inspired by Green Lantern!
